Bob Flack is Senior Pastor at Grace. He is a graduate of Wheaton College (IL) and Grace Theological Seminary (IN). In 2009 he celebrated ten years of service in his current role. Pastor Flack has a passion to preach God’s Word and to shepherd God’s people. He is also an avid reader counting writers like John Bunyan, J.C. Ryle, George Herbert, John Owen, Wendell Berry, and John Piper among his favorite authors. He and his wife, Lynn, live in Riley, Kansas. They have five children ranging in age from twenty-three to thirteen.

Vaughn Kohler is the Pastor of Student Discipleship at Grace. He is a graduate of Wheaton College (IL) and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (KY). Pastor Kohler desires to see young men and women grounded in God’s Word and gripped by a passion for God’s glory. Pastor Kohler enjoys following college basketball and reading; his favorite books include “The Knowledge of the Holy” by A.W. Tozer, “Desiring God” by John Piper, and the Confessions of Saint Augustine.

Alan Gerling is the Director of Worship and Music at Grace. After graduating from Iowa Wesleyan College he taught band and choir for five years before deciding to minister in music full-time. Alan loves to play guitar and piano and has a passion to see all generations join in worship. He is a very eclectic listener but some of his favorite musicians and lyricists are Paul Baloche, Jimmy Needham, Jeremy Camp and Isaac Watts. He loves reading C.S. Lewis and some of his favorite books are “Unceasing Worship” by Harold Best and “When I Don’t Desire God” by John Piper. Alan and his wife, Jodie, live in Manhattan. They have one child, Isaac. Linda Lewis is our Office Administrator and has served at Grace Baptist since 1990. Linda is dedicated to making it happen through the gift of helps. Linda’s main responsibilities are the churches regular publications as editor for the Grace Journal, The GBC Insider, the Sunday bulletin and the Prayer Bulletin. She also maintains membership and other church records, the church Policy Handbook, the Information Hub Notebook, the Directory, the master schedule for building use and related needs and much more. Linda graduated from Oak Hills Christian College with a degree in Christian Education and a minor in Bible and Ridgewater College with a secretarial degree. Garland and Linda have lived in Manhattan since 1971 and raised their five children here. Four of their children are married and they have blessed them with eight grandsons and one granddaughter. Their youngest son, Ryan, lives and works in Manhattan.

April Bockus is the Office Assistant and Custodian. She has served Grace since 2002 with a servant heart and quiet spirit. April takes care of attendance and updating the data base, handles the bills and voucher system we use, maintains the files, graciously answers the phone, maintains records, printing jobs, and willing completes other jobs as assigned. April and her staff also keep the building clean, working around our busy activities here at Grace. She is also our troubleshooter. April’s elected position at Grace is the church’s Financial Secretary. April attended the Manhattan Area Technical College and earned a degree in Business. April and her husband, Bill have three daughters and two grandchildren.

Kay Bollman is the Visitation Coordinator and has a heart of mercy. She has served Grace since 1997 through visitation, counseling and prayer. She records information given by our guests and contacts them as needed, helps maintain the small groups lists and assignments to those groups, assists Pastor Arthur in visiting the elderly, sick and needy. Kay takes great joy in learning and doing new things. Kay serves on the Deacon/Deaconess board, which is an elected position. Kay and her husband John have been involved together in many different outreaches over the years and have been a great blessing to our fellowship.

Becca Strom is the Youth Administrative Assistant who capably assists Pastor Vaughn Kohler in ministry. Becca is a joyful presence and blessing to the youth program. She is from the Wichita, Kansas area. Becca graduated from Manhattan Christian College in May 2010 earning a degree in Youth Ministry with an emphasis on Urban Ministry . She recently was married to Jordan Strom on June 4. Jordan Strom is the son of Dan and Judy Strom, longtime Grace members.
